Freezer-to-Grill Caribbean Chicken Marinade
This freezer Caribbean chicken marinade combines bold island-inspired spices with jalapeño and lime for a vibrant, flavorful meal. Just freeze, thaw, and grill — no extra prep required.
- 3 jalapeño chiles, stems and seeds removed
- 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
- 3 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp steak sauce
- 3 lbs chicken, bone-in or boneless
Freezer Instructions
Add all ingredients except chicken to a 1-gallon freezer-safe bag.
Add chicken and seal.
Squish the bag to blend, press out air, reseal, and label.
Freeze flat.
Cooking Instructions
Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Grill chicken, turning once, until cooked through and lightly charred.
