Freezer-to-Grill Caribbean Chicken Marinade

This freezer Caribbean chicken marinade combines bold island-inspired spices with jalapeño and lime for a vibrant, flavorful meal. Just freeze, thaw, and grill — no extra prep required.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 jalapeño chiles, stems and seeds removed
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
  • 3 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp steak sauce
  • 3 lbs chicken, bone-in or boneless

Instructions
 

Freezer Instructions

  • Add all ingredients except chicken to a 1-gallon freezer-safe bag.
  • Add chicken and seal.
  • Squish the bag to blend, press out air, reseal, and label.
  • Freeze flat.

Cooking Instructions

  • Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Grill chicken, turning once, until cooked through and lightly charred.

Notes

Serving Suggestions:
Serve with roasted sweet potatoes, black beans and rice, or grilled plantains for a full tropical-inspired plate.
Practical Magic Tip:
