    Lemon-and-Bay Leaf Bean Pickles

    August 5, 2011 /

Better Homes and Gardens recently published a new canning magazine, with tons of exciting and flavorful-sounding recipes inside. So, of course I had to buy it. Shrimp Tacos Prepared With Local Twist

    July 20, 2011 /

By Whitney Donohue Moapa Valley Progress Dave Sterling’s melons are incredibly flavorful, and you could really just chill them and eat up. But the melons are so tasty that I thought it would be fun to try something different with them as well. I really wanted the melons to have a starring role in dinner, so I created this melon salsa, which is sweet and spicy at the same time. Paired with the spicy grilled shrimp, the melon really stands out but doesn’t overwhelm. Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Melon Salsa Serves 4 (with salsa left for chips) Spicy Shrimp Tacos 1 lb shrimp, shelled and deveined ½ tsp salt 1…

Project 365 – Baby Elements (Free Download)

    January 6, 2011 /

Here’s a sweet little throwback from my early design days: a set of soft and playful baby scrapbook elements that you can print, layer and love. Originally created for my Project 365 memory keeping adventure, these elements are perfect for baby albums, milestone trackers, greeting cards, and even hybrid scrapbooking. Whether you’re crafting a layout for a brand new arrival or just want to sprinkle in a little cuteness, this set has your back.  Inside the zip file, you’ll find pastel-toned embellishments that work beautifully with coordinating papers like Baby Plaid Digital Paper. I still love how timeless and gentle these graphics feel – even all these years later.  What’s…

Waning Gibbous Moon
Today’s Magic: The moon is in her waning gibbous phase, a time for gentle release, reflection, and refinement. This is the perfect energy for letting go of what no longer serves you—whether that’s physical clutter, outdated habits, or old digital files. Today, consider a mini reset: clear out a drawer, tidy a folder, or take a quiet moment to journal on what you’re ready to release as the moon continues to shrink toward her next new phase. Even tiny shifts make space for fresh inspiration to enter.
